I grew up in a house where creativity was just part of the package. My mother is a master applique quilter, my father renovates houses, my sister was a Master Model Builder for Legoland California and my brothers are magnificent artists and sculptors. I could never manage to draw a straight line, even with a ruler, but I've found my own means of making things beautiful. I'm also an aspiring Young Adult novelist.

Lately I've fallen in love with the craft of bookbinding and I've started making and selling handbound softcover journals and notebooks. The journals are sweet and classy - the notebooks are a little kitsch. Combined they're kind of a reflection of their maker, I guess. ;)

My most recent crafting love is handbound journals and notebooks. As I've been a writer all my life, the idea of creating a book to write in was very appealing to me, and once I learned how, I couldn't stop! Softcover journals allow me to combine my love of fabric, my love of paper and my love of creating together to form something truly unique and usable.
